A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SOCIAL SERVICES DIRECTOR As a Social Services Director at our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, you are responsible for overseeing the social services department of facility. This role involves providing support and assistance to residents/patients and their families to address psychosocial, emotional, and practical needs. The Social Services Director plays a crucial role in promoting resident/patient well-being, facilitating care transitions, and ensuring access to community resources.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING (ADON)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, human services, psychology, or a related field.
- Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensure preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in social services, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
- Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills.
- Knowledge of psychosocial issues related to aging, disability, and chronic illness.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
